Alma Ruth Heimbach

December 17, 1920 — November 14, 2016

Alma Ruth Heimbach, 95, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 9:40 AM on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born on December 17, 1920 in Winfield, the daughter of the late Ralph B. and Iva Anna (Dunkelberger) Eberhart.  On August 30, 1937 in Maryland she married John Merrill Miller who passed away on July 10, 1985.  She remarried in November of 1987, at the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, to Edgar Allen Heimbach, who passed on September 27, 2003.

She was a member of the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene.

Alma drove school bus for 15 years for SUM Child Development. She also provided transportation for local Mennonite families for many years.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and doing puzzle books.

Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law; Ralph E. & Nancy M. Miller of Mifflinburg, Glenn R. & Brenda J. Miller of Mifflinburg, George W. and Teresa Miller of Falkville, Alabama, John M. & Tina Miller of Mifflinburg; three daughters and sons-in-law; Dawn E. and Frank Spickler of Beavertown, Sharon K. & William Kahl of Hartleton; Holly E. and Stanley Catherman of Middleburg; one stepdaughter; Evelyn Wonders of Mifflinburg;  17 Grandchildren, 40 great grandchildern, 18 great great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  .

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean M. Walker, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn W. & Jenny L. Eberhart, and one stepson, Robert E. Heimbach.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 9 to 11 AM on Friday at the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, 12 Market Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with Rev. Wayne Krell, officiating.

Interment will be in the Dry Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alma's memory may be sent to Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, 12 Market Street, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
