Donald Lee Troup, 80, of 110 Spruce Run Road, Lewisburg went to be with his Lord and Savior at 3:45 pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 15, 1936 in Buffalo Township, the son of the late Ralph Edgar and Iva C. (Weaver) Troup.  On October 02, 1954, he married the former Velma Irene Walls, who survives.  Together, they shared 62 years of wonderful memories.

Donald was a 1954 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

He was a member of Lewisburg Bible Church, serving on the church board and as treasurer for many years, and also did maintenance work at the church.

Don was a Scout Master for the Mazeppa Boy Scout Troop.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends; as well as working in his garage, where he crafted cradles and rockers. But most of all, he loved his family.  He followed and supported his children, and grandchildren, at their sporting events.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Mary Troup of Lewisburg, Glenn and Linda Troup of Lewisburg, Carl and Penny Troup of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Justin and Katie Troup, Steven and Ashley Troup, Sarah Schutt, Eric Troup, Brandon Troup; nine grandchildren, Arnold Troup, Kyler Troup, Ellie Troup, Libby Troup, Heather Schutt, Hudson Troup, Vivian Troup, Miles Troup, Abrahm Stankiewicz.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Troup, and one sister, Dorothy Snyder.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Monday, January 30 at the Lewisburg Bible Church, 311 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Roger L. Wenger, officiating.

Interment will be in the Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
