Jackie (Jack) L. Stuckey

December 8, 1930 — June 16, 2016

Jackie (Jack) L. Stuckey, 85, of Mifflinburg passed peacefully at 8:08 am on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Heritage Springs Memory Care.

He was born on December 8, 1930 in Hagerstown, MD, the son of the late Richard Benjamin and Ethel Mae (Plank) Stuckey.  On November 25, 1951, he married the former JoAnn E. Stuckey (Hertzler), who passed away on October 17, 2013.  Together, they shared 61 years of memories.

Jack was a graduate of Burnham High School, class of 1948.

He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Coast Guard from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1953.

Jack was a member of Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, where he was very active in various church activities.

Jack, along with family members, owned and operated the former IGA Store in Mifflinburg from 1962 to 1990.

He was a member of the Mifflinburg Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge #370, a member of the QB Flying Club, former member of the M&T Bank Board and the Burnham Fire Department.

His interests included; being a handyman, a private pilot, traveling, going to the beach with his family, and detailing cars.  He also enjoyed starting each morning with the men of the Subway coffee group.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl A. and Stuart Naulty of Murray, KY, Marjorie L. Boyer of Milton, Linda K. and Ronald Baum of Mifflinburg, four grandchildren, Christopher, Alicia, Katie & Eric ,two great grandchildren, Devin and Isabella, and one brother, William F. Stuckey of Mifflinburg.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Naulty, one brother, Richard M. Stuckey, and one son-in-law, Douglas Boyer.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 21st at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg and from 10 to 11 AM on June 22nd at the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, 279 Market St, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be held at 11, with The Reverend Mrs. Shirley Cornell, officiating.

Interment will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Jack`s memory may be sent to Evangelical Hospice, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg Pa 17837 or the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, 279 Market Street, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
