Joan Marie Fohringer, 75, of 510 Old Orchard Road, Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born Jan. 8, 1942, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Donald Sr. and Bertha Irene (Winkleblech) Willow. On June 27, 1970, she married Larry D. Fohringer who passed away on Dec.9, 2005.
Joan was a 1959 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
Joan was a homemaker and earlier in life she worked at Pennsylvania House Furniture as a secretary.
She was a member of the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church, where she served as parsonage treasurer from 1977 until 2012.
Joan enjoyed bowling, reading, her pets, and Penn State sports. She especially loved her grandchildren and following their sports activities.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Michael D. and Julie M. Fohringer, of Mifflinburg, Kelly L. and Christopher G. Weller, of Mifflinburg, and Scott A. and Abby B. Fohringer, of Penns Creek, Mifflinburg; four grandchildren, Connor M. Fohringer, Madison M. Fohringer, Taylor L. Weller, Jaxon I. Weller; and her mother-in-law, Irene Fohringer, of Spring Mills.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Willow Jr.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 1, with the Rev. Daniel H. Hicks officiating.
Interment will be in the Hill Top Cemetery.
