Lena Z. Martin, 90, of Mifflinburg for the past 3 years, formerly of Lancaster County, entered into rest at 9:00 AM on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her daughter’s residence.

She was born on June 22, 1925 in East Earl Twp., Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Ivan S. and Magdalena (Zimmerman) Martin.  On November 29, 1945, in East Earl Twp., she married David H. Martin, who preceded her in death on March 01, 2007.

Lena was homemaker.  She was a member of New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are eight sons and daughters-in-law, Ivan Martin of Richfield, David and Wilma Martin of New Bethlehem, Earl and Mary Martin of Mifflinburg, Ervin and Darlene Martin of Richfield, LeRoy and Vera Martin of Shunk, Lloyd and Marilyn Martin of Leola, James and Thelma Martin of New Holland, Allen and Pauline Martin of Swengel, three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann wife of Harry Garman of Narvon, Verna wife of Reuben Reiff of Mifflinburg, Lena wife of Ivan B. Martin of Mifflinburg, one daughter-in-law, Erma Martin of Stevens, one brother and sister-in-law, Amos and Esther Martin of East Earl, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Katie wife of Edwin Nolt, and Esther Hoover both of Brownstown, three sisters-in-law, Annie Martin of Indiana, Frances Martin of East Earl, and Mary Martin of Epharta, 65 grandchildren, 187 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Harlan Martin on Aug 10, 2015, a daughter-in-law, Arlene Martin on Feb. 7, 2013, one granddaughter, Sarah Martin, and four great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 pm on Monday at the residence of Ivan and Lena Martin, 100 Martin Drive, Mifflinburg.  Additional viewing and services will begin at 10 am on Tuesday at the New Holland Mennonite Church, E. Huyard Road, New Holland with the Bishop Titus H. Martin, officiating.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
