Timothy G. Kinsey, 56, of Sunbury entered into rest on Saturday, January 02, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center.
He was born on July 10, 1959 in Portland, MI, the son of the late Robert K. Kinsey and Elizabeth Irene (Ludwig) Kinsey.
What can a person say about Timothy Glenn Kinsey? A man big in stature with the biggest heart possible that any one man could have. Known throughout the Susquehanna Valley and beyond and loved by many. Everyone knew Tim from Rivers Edge Peddle & Paddle bike shop in Sunbury, pouring wines at Spyglass Ridge Winery and working in the kitchen at Elizabeth’s Bistro. There are very few people in this world who can touch your heart with just one smile, but Tim could. Talk your ear off for hours on end and never seem to take a breath. Tell you one joke after another till you can’t laugh any longer and sell you a Cannondale bike or a Kayak and become your friend for life. In Tim’s younger days it was nothing for him to complete a sixty mile marathon then ride a hundred miles on his bike over the weekend. Tim mastered the kitchen and would bless friends and family with amazing culinary treats and learned and accomplished everything through trial and error and the school of hard knocks. How many people can say they had a local band plus a popular wine at the winery named after them. Why you ask? Because everyone loved Tim. If you knew Tim you loved him, from this day forward all of us here are now missing a very large part of our hearts. In a world like we have today very few people make such an impact on so many lives with so little resources, but Tim did. He grabbed life with both hands and lived each day like it was his last. So we end with a few words that sums up his life and the way he lived it. Some are born to move the world and live their fantasies, yet most of just dream about the things we’d like to be,sadder still to watch it die than never to have known it. For you the blind that once could see, the bell tolls for thee. For you Tim, we hope heaven looks like Vermont.
Surviving are two brothers, Stephen R. Kinsey of Fairbanks, AK, Floyd Lemon of Millmont, and his girlfriend, Pamela Richardson of Selinsgrove.
Family and friends are invited to Tim’s life celebration at 5 pm on Friday at Spyglass Ridge Winery, 105 Carroll Road, Sunbury.
