Bonnie L. (Dorman) Bilger

Bonnie Lou Bilger, 65, of 561 Lincoln Chapel Road, Millmont, entered into rest on Saturday morning, November 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 12, 1952 in Lewisburg, PA, the daughter of Melladine (Machamer) Dorman of Mifflinburg and the late Ralph Dorman.

On November 25, 1973, she married Lande Bilger at Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, where they are both members.  They were married nearly 44 years.

Bonnie was a 1970 graduate from Mifflinburg High School.  After graduation, she was employed by the state as a secretary, but found that her calling was to work with children, so she took a position at Laurelton State School.  She was the office manager of the family business that she shared with her husband.

Her love for her children and grandchildren was always made evident.  She loved being a grandma to her two precious grandsons.  She enjoyed staying at home reading, cross-stitching, creating handmade items for her family, collecting antiques and a good cup of hot tea.  She was a devoted mother and wife.

In addition to her husband, Lande, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Ryan and Amanda Bilger of Douglassville, PA; a daughter, Chelsea Bilger of Millmont; two grandsons, Andrew Bilger of Douglassville and Grady Zesiger of Millmont; and a sister, Catana Zimmerman of Millmont.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10:00 am until noon at The Adamo’s, 16 Walnut St., Mifflinburg.

In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, her graveside service will be held privately at Lincoln Chapel.
