Betty Louise (Kerstetter) Harbach

Betty Louise Harbach, 92, of Columbus, MS, formerly of Loganton entered into rest at 10:11 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 15, 1926 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Lynn Raymond and Anna Dephane (Dunlap) Kerstetter.  On August 29, 1946, in Loganton by the Rev. Thurman R. Hustler she married the William B. Harbach, who passed away on June 5, 2012.

She was a graduate of Sugar Valley High School, class of 1943; and a 1946 graduated from Williamsport Hospital School as a Registered Nurse.

For over 20 years, Mrs. Harbach worked as a RN for Lock Haven Hospital, Jersey Shore Hospital, Potter County Schools in Ulysses, and the office of Dr. Lloyd Forcey in Jersey Shore before she retired 1970.

Betty was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Loganton, where she served as the church organist for 20 years; and also for St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Booneville for over 16 years. She was a member and past-president of the Loganton Community Club.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Chester M. and Jean L. Harbach of Hughesville, PA, one granddaughter, Shelley Lynn Pruett, one great grandson; Alex McCarty, two great-great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law; Gene C. and Betty Harbach of Bedford.  Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is being planned for April 2019, with an interment in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton.
