Clarence W. Shirk, 65, of 353 Berry Lane, Beavertown entered into rest at 05:31 PM on Friday, September 01, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center.

He was born on December 24, 1951 in Ephrata, a son of the late Martin Sauder Shirk and Esther (Weaver) Shirk.  On October 3, 1974, in New Holland he married the former Arlene Sensenig, who survives.

Mr. Shirk was a retired farmer and well known auctioneer.

He attended the County Line Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference), Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Darla S. and Matthew Rutt of Beavertown, Lori  S. and Mark Horning, Jr. of Stevens, four sons and one daughter-in-law, Randall Shirk of Beavertown, Ronald and Bethany (Hoover) Shirk of Middleburg, Richard Shirk of Ephrata, Dwight Shirk of Ephrata, 6 grandchildren, Austin and Amy Rutt, Jessica, Travis, and Shawn Horning, and Ava Shirk, one brother and sister-in-law, Eli and Anna Shirk of Mifflinburg, five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and Alvin Leid of Ephrata, Edna Martin of Ephrata,  Esther W. Shirk of Ephrata, Ruth W. Shirk of Ephrata, Martha and J. David Martin of Shippensburg, and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Burkholder)Shirk of Shiloh, OH

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Shirk, one sister, Susie Shirk, a granddaughter, Kristi Rutt, a grandson, Konner Rutt, and a brother-in-law, Miles Martin.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 1 to 4 PM on Tuesday and from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the County Line Mennonite Church, 1087 Saint Thomas Road, Mount Pleasant Mills, PA.  The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM at the Shirk Residence, 353 Berry Lane, Beavertown, with further services at County Line Mennonite Church, 1087 Saint Thomas Road, Mount Pleasant Mills, PA beginning at 10:00 AM, with Bishop Lester M. Martin, Minster Jay Paul Hoover,Minister Merlin B. Fox, Minister Raymond Zimmerman, officiating.

Interment will be in the County Line Mennonite Church Cemetery.
