David L. Resseguie

David L. Resseguie, 85, of New Berlin entered into rest on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Riverwoods, surrounded by family.

He was born on January 05, 1934 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Cecil and Ruth (Owens) Resseguie.  On November 13, 1954, he married the former Myra E. Solomon.

He was a graduate of Lewisburg High School class 1953.

David worked at the former Pennsylvania House Furniture and at SUN Area VO-Tech until his retirement. Earlier in life he was a farmer.

He was a life member of New Berlin Fire Co., and a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsman’s Club.

David enjoyed spending time with family, volunteering for the fire company, hunting, and writing poetry.

Surviving in addition to his wife is one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Linda Resseguie of Winfield,  three daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy Zechman and companion Barry Hosterman of Millmont, Peg and Mark Mallett of New Berlin, Beth Ann Linn of Milton, six grandchildren, Jan Miller, Jason Linn, Colin Mallett  and wife Leah, Jeremy Resseguie and wife Michelle, Dustin Mallett, Seth Zechman and wife Maredith, five great grandchildren, JLeea Linn, Audrey Resseguie, Kinnley Resseguie, Natalie Resseguie, Brady Zechman, and one brother-in-law, Rex and Cindy Solomon of New Berlin.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Schodt, and five brothers, William, Robert, Gaylord, Donald, Richard Resseguie, and a son-in-law, Galen Linn.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Adamo’s, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg.

Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
