Ivan W. Oberholtzer, 89, of Millmont entered into rest at 2:15 AM on Tuesday, March 05, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on December 07, 1929 in Bareville, Lancaster County, the son of the late Harry L. and Anna (Weaver) Oberholtzer.  On December 25, 1952, in Bowmansville, PA he married the former Martha N. Leinbach, who survives.

Ivan was a retired farmer.

He was a member of Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving are five sons and six daughters, Harry L. and Alta Oberholtzer of Millmont, Ben and Eva Oberholtzer of Winfield, Ruth and David Hoover of Mifflinburg, Anna and David Kilmer of Elkhart, IN, Levi and Susan Oberholtzer of Millmont, Amos and Rhoda Oberholtzer of Denver, PA, Nancy and George Brubaker of Liberty, KY,  Martha and Lester Nolt of Lewisburg, Ellen Oberholtzer of Millmont, Eva and Erwin Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Ivan Jr and Esther Oberholtzer of Pen Yan, NY, 59 grandchildren, 110 great grandchildren, five siblings, John Oberholtzer of Lobelville, TN, John A. and Anna Zimmerman of Shiloh, OH, Joseph Oberholtzer of Leola, Harry and Edna Oberholtzer, Lewistown, David and Emma Oberholtzer of Elma, IA, one brother-in-law, Paul Newsvanger of New Holland.

He was preceded in death by infant son, David Oberholtzer, one brother, Jacob Oberholtzer, four sisters, Esther Ringler, Elizabeth Shirk, Martha Newswanger, and Lena Oberholtzer.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday March 7, 2019 at the Oberholtzer residence, 1186 Cold Run Road, Millmont, where funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019.  Further services will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Mountain View Order Mennonite Church, Kaiser Run Road, Millmont, officiating will be the church’s home ministry.

Interment will be in the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Cemetery.
