Norman Fred Zechman

August 12, 1932 — April 18, 2018

Norman Fred Zechman, 85, of Millmont entered into rest on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Rolling Hills Manor.

He was born on August 12, 1932 in Kelly Township, Union County, the son of the late Dorsey J. and Venetta E. (Smith) Zechman.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War from January 20, 1953 until his honorable discharge on Nov. 18, 1954.

Norman worked at Pennsylvania House Furniture in the lumber department.  Following his retirement he worked for his two at G&E Mobile Homes in Vicksburg.

He was a member of the Woodsman of the World.

Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports on TV.

Surviving are four siblings, Earl L.  and wife Ruth Zechman of Selinsgrove, George J. and wife Wanda Zechman of Mifflinburg, Dorothy E. and husband Gene Thomas of Penns Creek, Carl E. and wife Cora Zechman of Selinsgrove.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and his special caretaker, Georgia Schultz of Lewisburg.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Stahl, Mabel Campbell, Erma Morgan, and two brothers, Marlin Zechman, and Clair Zechman.
Services will be conducted privately.

Interment will be in Mazeppa Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Norman’s memory may be sent to Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, Pa 17844.
