Dorothy Ann "Robin" Olley, 62, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 5:30 pm on Friday, September 7, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born on July 6, 1956 in Tyrone, a daughter of the late Robert D. Sharer, Sr. and Dorothy (Hample) Sharer. On August 14, 1982 in Tyrone she married Matthew Craig Olley, who survives.
Robin worked as a school bus driver in the Mifflinburg School district for 25 years and as the stable manager at D Bar J Farm, Mifflinburg, for 7 years and at Geisinger Medical Center as a Phlebotomist.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg where she served on Council of Catholic Woman, instrumental in starting the youth ministry, and served as a Eucharistic Minister delivering communion to area nursing homes.
Robin enjoyed horseback riding, camping, music and dancing, making holiday meals, gardening, and doing agility and nose work with dog Freya. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed faith, family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Leslie A. Moser and companion Eric Steigenhofer of Trappe, Dustin J. and Maria Olley of Hampstead, MD, Ashley D. Olley of Mifflinburg, five grandchildren, Gavin, Evelyn, Matthew, Noah, Marianna, five siblings, Carol J. Gill of Tyrone, Bonnie L. and Ronnie Ashcroft of State College, Robert D. Sharer II and Edie of Tyrone, Cathy D. and Richard Gergely of Tyrone, Pamela B. Wagner of Mifflinburg, and brother-in-law, Michael G. Olley of Northumberland.
She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Gerald Gill, and Mark Olley.
In honoring Robin’s wishes there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Adamo’s, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, concluding with a rosary prayer service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 814 St. Louis Street, Lewisburg at 10 am on Thursday, September 13, 2018, with the Rev. Mark Wilke as celebrant.
The Rite of Committal will be in Mifflinburg Cemetery.
