Ruth A. Hosterman

August 8, 1940 — May 10, 2019

Ruth A. (Stamm) Hosterman, 78, of Watsontown entered into rest at 9:05 pm on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Evangelical Community Hospital.

She was born on August 8, 1940 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Melvin L. and Mary Jane (Weller) Stamm.  On November 8, 1959, in Lewisburg she married Lester N. Hosterman, who survives. Together, they shared 59 years of memories.

She was a graduate of Lewisburg High School class of 1959.

Ruth retired from Country Cupboard as a clerk.

She was attending Lewisburg Bible Church.

Ruth enjoyed knitting, bowling, riding motorcycle, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jodi L. and Monna Hosterman of Vicksburg, Jamie L. and Ruth M. Hosterman of Danville, four grandchildren, Gregory, Dawson, Vivian, Alivia Hosterman, and one sister, Patricia L. Stamm-Smith of Lewisburg.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin L. Stamm, Jr, one sister Ida Mae Eckhart.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 on Tuesday May 14th at the Lewisburg Bible Church, 311 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with the Rev. Alan Tucker, officiating.

Interment will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth’s memory may be sent to Lewisburg Bible Church, 311 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 178937.
