Anna Martin Shirk, 85, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at her residence.

Born on August 1, 1939, in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Ezra Sensening and Maria (Martin) Zimmerman. On December 1, 1960, in Ephrata, she married Eli Weaver Shirk, who survives.

Anna was a member of the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband Eli, are 12 children and spouses: Esther Shirk of Mifflinburg, Luke and Kathryn (Hoover) Shirk of Pembroke, KY, Edith and Earl Reiff of Noxon, MT, Marvin and Sarah (Stoltzfus) Shirk of Fredericksburg, OH, Irene and Melvin Oberholtzer of Mifflinburg, Vera and Marvin Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Anna Mae and Eugene Horning of Lewisburg, Alma and James Burkholder of Middleburg, Miriam and Nelson Zimmerman of Millmont, Rosella and Noah Oberholtzer of Mifflinburg, Norma and Marvin Reiff of Mifflinburg, Duane and Grace (Oberholtzer) Shirk of Mifflinburg; 9 siblings; David and Edna Zimmerman of Ephrata, brother-in-law, Phares Burkholder of Greenwood, WI, Ezra and Lydia Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Amos and Esther Zimmerman of East Earl, sister-in-law, Mary Ella of Stanley, WI, Mary Hoover of Mifflinburg, Ella and Amos Leid of Shippensburg, Ervin and Ella Mae Zimmerman of Ephrata, brother-in-law, Alvin and Ella Brubaker of East Earl, sister-in-law, Alta of Ionia, IA, Lavina and John Brubaker of Withee, WI, Edna and Reuben Nolt of Floyd, IA, 60 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Menno, two sisters, Lydia and Lena, a sister-in-law, Lena, and a brother-in-law, Allen Hoover, as well as three grandchildren, Marlin, Anna Ruth, and Loren Horning.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Grace Shirk, 364 Stover Road, Mifflinburg, where the family service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 9 a.m. with further services at the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Bishop Lloyd Zimmerman officiating.

Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
