Betty Mae Bennage

Betty Mae Bennage, 78, of 70 East Green Street, Mifflinburg entered into rest at 7:40 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Evangelical Community Hospital.

She was born on January 25, 1935 in Lewis Twp., Union Co., a daughter of the late Earl Charelton and Angeline Margaret (Catherman) Grove. On March 28, 1953 in West Milton she married William Ross Bennage, who passed away on December 05, 2011.

Betty attended Lewis Twp., Union County schools.

Betty worked as a cook for the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1396, Mifflinburg and for Camp Mount Luther. She also worked for Yorktowne Cabinets, Yoder's Cleaning, and the Mifflinburg Bank and Trust Co.

Betty enjoyed visiting Cape May, NJ and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters; Debra M. wife of David S. DeLong of Mifflinburg, Susan M. wife of David L. Delcamp of Lavonia, seven grandchildren, Wayne Bierly, Ryan Bierly, Megan Scott, Lonny Bennage, William Bennage, Jr., Sabrina Turner, Vicki Welshans and 18 great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother-in-law; Jean G. wife of Edward Geiswite of Winfield, Sally J. Boyer of Montandon and one brother; Donald M. Grove of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by one son, William Donald Bennage on March 31, 1999, one sister, Freida I. Hough, and two brothers; Earl C. Grove, Jr., Fred H. Grove.

Interment will be private in Hill Top Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
