Betty J. Houtz, 80, of Milton entered into rest on Wednesday, August 10, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born on September 18, 1942 in Beavertown, a daughter of the late McClain M. and Dessie M. (Romig) Walter. On June 22, 1957, she married Richard R. Houtz who passed away on Sept 22, 2012.

Betty worked at Zenith in Watsontown and Milton Shoe Factory.

She was a member of the St. Peter's Independent Church, Beavertown.

Betty enjoyed doing crafts, puzzles, going to yards sales, camping, and listening to oldies music.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lou and Daniel Rider of Milton, Susan and Ray Kohler of Souderton, Barbara and Dave West of Sweet Valley , one son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Mary Houtz of Milton, ten grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, two sisters, Nancy and Earl Bowersox of Middleburg, Debra Chamberlain of Shamokin Dam.

She was preceded in death by a stillborn son, John Houtz.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 am on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at St. Peter's Independent Church, 7812 Middle Road, Beavertown where the funeral will be held at 11 with Darvin Reich officiating.

Interment will be in St. Peter's Independent Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be sent to St. Peter's Independent Bible Church, directed to the Cemetery Fund, 7812 Middle Road, Beavertown, PA 17813.
