Blanche E. (Workman) Stover

November 9, 1929 — February 2, 2018

Blanche Evelyn Stover, 88, of 226 Hideaway Lane, Lewisburg, passed away at 6:16 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born on November 9, 1929 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late George L. Workman I. and the former Evelyn Marjorie Pennycoff.  On Dec. 16, 1949 in Mifflinburg she married the John D. Stover, who preceded her in death September 5, 2007.

Blanche worked at the Milton Shoe Factory as a fancy stitcher, as a clerk at JPM and as an inspector for Kan-trak-ter in Mifflinburg.

She enjoyed bus-trips, reading, crossword puzzles, picnics and going to flea markets.

Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Linda D. & Terry L. Farlemen of Lewisburg; two granddaughters, Kimberly & Mark Weeder of McClure, Jamie & Cody Boop of Mifflinburg; four great-grandchildren, Hailee Weeder, Max Weeder, Elizabeth Boop and Sophia Boop. She is also survived by two brothers, George Workman II of Lewisburg and John Workman of Leesburg, FL.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Madeline Jows.

A Celebration of Life service will be held this spring in conjunction with a family picnic.
