Carl E. Dunkle, 78, of Mifflinburg, entered into eternal rest at 5:29 p.m. on September 7, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on December 3, 1946, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Clarence Edward Sr. and Carrie Anna (Shipley) Dunkle. On September 6, 1969, he married the former Susan M. Weller, who survives. Together, they shared 56 years of marriage and many treasured memories.
Earlier in life, Carl worked at Furman Foods and was later employed at the former Watsontown Foundry for a number of years.
He was a member of the Friendship Fire Company.
In his spare time, Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Susan, are four children: Susan Bixler of Danville; Amber Winder of Milton; Dawn Young of Mifflinburg; and Christopher Dunkle of North Carolina; along with 19 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Clarence Dunkle Jr., Robert Dunkle, Charles Dunkle, and Henry Dunkle.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 11 a.m. to Noon on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at Noon with Pastor TJ Edison officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carl’s memory may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral costs.
