Constance "Connie" Louise Campbell Crook

Constance "Connie" Louise Campbell Crook, 88, of 501 Vine Street, New Berlin entered into rest at 5:30 PM on Friday, January 3, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on August 14, 1925 in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Hall Christian and Margaret B. McDowell Campbell. On September 3, 1950 in Mifflinburg she married Kenneth Garfield Crook, who preceded her in death on December 26, 1979. Together, they shared 29 years of memories.

Connie was a 1942 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. Following graduation, she worked at the Mifflinburg Kooltex, where she worked as a floor boss.

She was a dedicated member for 63 years to Emmanuel United Church of Christ in New Berlin, where she was active in Sunday school classes, bible school, served on many committees, participated in the prayer chain, attended a bible study in her daughter's home and baked pies and goods for the church sales and funerals. She always enjoyed traveling with her grandson's gospel trio, "Servants of God."

She was fondly known as "Nana" to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and Connie's daycare children.

Connie enjoyed being with her family, cooking, and helping her daughter Connie with her private preschool/daycare.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Bertha "Betsy" C. and Robert C. Thompson of Elkland, Constance C. and Craig A. Stumpff of New Berlin, four grandchildren and three spouses, Robert K. and Amanda Thompson, Susan and Jeremy L. Heck, Janel L. and James Anthony, Jared A. Stumpff and companion Kealy Howell, eight great grandchildren, Robert J. Thompson, Eva M. Thompson, Jeremy T. Heck, Jillian S. Heck, Julia R. Heck, Jennika L. Heck, Janelle P. Heck, Jaxxon J. Heck. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by ten siblings, Harry M. Campbell, Isabel Dorman, Helen Solomon, Ruth Denithorne, Ralph Campbell, Mildred Faith Scholl Jarrett, Jacob Campbell, James "Eddie Boy" Campbell, Emma Dale, and Bertha Cattell.

Services will be conducted privately by Pastor Alice Rauch.

Interment will be in New Berlin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Connie's memory may be made to the New Berlin Fire Company, 416 Liberty Street, New Berlin, Pa 17855.
