Dale Oliver Smith, 70, of Milton, entered into rest at 9:35 PM on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 26, 1943 in Clifton Springs, NY a son the late Alva and Wilma (Rice) Robbins.  He married the former Nancy L. Oberdorf on April 7, 1961, who survives.

Dale attended the Shady Grove Mennonite Church for the past two years.

He worked as a laborer at Milton Manufacturing for 30 years.

Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Western movies, and spending time with his family and talking and fellowshipping with his church family.

Surviving are one son, Dale O. Smith, Jr of Milton, three daughters and sons-in-law, Gail E. and Bruce W. Foreman of Dewart, Tammy L. and William Bausinger of Turbotville, Cindy A. and Douglas A. Eddy of Washingtonville, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, one sister, Helen Dimm of Milton, and one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Connie Robbins of Watsontown.  Also, surviving is a close aunt, Carrie Bastian of Milton.

He was preceded in death by one brother, George L. Robbins.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing from 12 to 1 PM on Tuesday at the Shady Grove Mennonite Church, 5327 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 1 PM, with Simon Bender, David King, Timothy Yoder, and Linnford Bender, serving as officiating clergy.

Interment will be in the Beaver Run Mennonite Cemetery, Turbotville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dale’s memory may be sent to assist with funeral expense to the Shady Grove Mennonite Church, C/O Simon Bender, 200 Turkey Run Road, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
