Dr. Dahle D. Bingaman

May 31, 1937 — February 2, 2024

Dr. Dahle D. Bingaman, 86, of Millmont, entered into rest on February 2, 2024 at Rolling Hills Manor.

 He was born on May 31, 1937 in Laurel Park to the late Harry Bingaman and Dorothy (Aumiller) Bingaman. He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Bingaman, a daughter, grandson, 2 great grandchildren, and a sister. 

Dahle obtained his undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University, then served as a lieutenant in the Army. After his discharge, he obtained a Doctorate in Psychology from Penn State University. 

He was employed as Deputy Superintendent of Rockview State Correctional Institution, then worked as a psychologist at Selinsgrove Center. Eventually he was appointed to the Pennsylvania State Parole Board, a position he held until his retirement. 

He was an avid amateur herpetologist and master woodcarver of wildlife. 

He loved nature, fishing and travel. Dahle was instrumental in starting the West End Library in Laurelton, PA. Any gifts of remembrance can be made to the library.

 A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at some future date.
