Elaine M. Derr
, 86, of 320 North Fourth Street, Lewisburg entered into rest at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Kramm Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Milton.
She was born on July 23, 1926 in Mifflinburg, the daughter of the late Reed and May (Walburn) Gutelius. On July 25, 1944, in Lewisburg she married Benton R. Derr, who preceded her in death.
Elaine graduated from Mifflinburg High School Class of 1944.
Elaine was a homemaker. She was devoted to her church and loved to go shopping.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Lewisburg and the Order of Eastern Star, Lewisburg Chapter 394.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia A. and William Cooper of Milton, two granddaughters, Kelly S. Cooper of Milton, Pamela A. Vayda and husband Michael of New Columbia, great grandson, Logan M. Vayda, and one half brother, Dennis Peck of Gettysburg.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Reed Gutelius, Jr.
A memorial service to celebrate Elaine's life will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1050 buffalo Rd., Lewisburg at a later date.
Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
