Eli Martin Reiff, 64, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at his home on August 8, 2025, following a 2½-year journey with ALS.
He was born on February 1, 1961, in Leola, a son of the late Eli E. Reiff Jr. and Barbara H. (Martin) Reiff. On April 8, 1982, he married the former Kathleen M. (Martin) Reiff, who survives. Together, they shared many years of memories.
A farmer and custom poultry processor for over 40 years, Eli was known for his dedication, work ethic, and service to his community. He was a member of Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife Kathleen are six children: Eli M. Reiff Jr. and wife Karen Z. Martin; Marilyn M. and husband Leonard Zimmerman; Amanda M. and husband John Aaron Martin; Kathleen Lois and husband Marcus M. Zimmerman; Seth M. and wife Elaine M. Zimmerman; and Stanley M. and wife Lori Renee Zimmerman; along with 31 grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers: Alvin and wife Minerva Reiff; Isaac and wife Ruth Reiff; Laurence and wife Alma Reiff; John and wife Dorcas Reiff; and five sisters: Laura and husband John Rissler; Esther and husband Nelson Martin; Ruth Reiff; Barbara Rissler; and Annetta and husband Aaron Eugene Zimmerman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Barbara Reiff; stepfather, David Zimmerman; brother-in-law, Paul Rissler; niece, Barbara Rissler; and father-in-law, Levi Martin.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing on Tuesday, August 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at his nephew's home, 1210 Green Ridge Road, Mifflinburg, where the family service will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Further services will be held at the Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Church beginning at 9:30 a.m., with Bishop Lloyd R. Zimmerman officiating.
Interment will be in the Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Church Cemetery.
