Ellsworth A. "Cub" Snook

December 12, 1929 — July 3, 2012

Ellsworth A. "Cub"Snook Jr., 82, of 706 Market St., entered into rest at 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, July3, 2012, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born Dec. 12, 1929, in New Berlin, the son of the late Ellsworth A.Sr. and Cora (Pentz) Snook. On May 25, 1968, in Emmanuel United Church ofChrist, New Berlin,he married the former Dolores Marie "Lori" Solomon, who survives.

Cub was a 1947 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

He worked as lathe operator at AMP, Inc., Selinsgrove,until his retirement in 1989. He then began delivering motor homes all aroundthe United Statesfor Don Ray Drive-A-Way Co., Paxinos for 12 years.

He was a lifetime member of Emmanuel United Church ofChrist, where he served on the consistory and the Sunday school board, alifetime member of the Mifflinburg Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 1396, andthe New Berlin Fire Company.

Cub was an avid fan of Penn Stateand the Philadelphia Phillies. He enjoyed collecting toy trucks and spendingtime with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are one son anddaughter-in-law, Cub Allen and Hannah Marie Snook, of New Berlin; twogranddaughters, Fallon Marie Snook and Elli Ann Snook, both of New Berlin; twobrothers and one sister- in- law, Paul and Ethel Snook, of Lewisburg, and PhilSnook, of Rodchester, Ind.; one sister and brother- in- law, Martha and JimSwander, of Orange, Calif.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attendthe viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut St.,Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday with theRev. Dawn Marie Meier, officiating. There will no viewing prior to the serviceon Friday and the family suggests casual attire.

Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions inCub's memory may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 326 Market St., New Berlin, PA 17855,or the New Berlin Fire Co., 415 High St., New Berlin, PA 17855.
