Ernest E. Mook, 87, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 12:25 a.m. on August 8, 2025, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on November 15, 1937, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Willard and Beatrice (Reitenbach) Mook. On January 19, 1957, he married the former Jane (Oberdorf) Mook, who survives. Together, they shared 68 years of memories.
He worked at the former Pennsylvania House Furniture, where he dedicated 40 years of service.
A man of strong faith, Ernest loved playing the guitar and often performed at local churches. He especially enjoyed being outdoors—mowing his yard, working with his hands, and taking pride in keeping his property looking its best.
Surviving in addition to his wife Jane are three children: Ernest J. and Ruth Mook of Mifflinburg; Terry and Starla Mook of Pillow; and Elaine and Bobby Ulrich of Middleburg. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Heather, Erica, Brandon, Justin, Jared, April, and Bobby III; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Boyer, and a brother, Albert Mook.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Forest Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Jeff West officiating.
