She was born on October 25, 1946 in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Harry Albert and Bertha Grace Hain Sheesley.
Esther graduated from Mifflinburg High School.
Mrs. Straub worked as a nurse's assistant.
Surviving are two sons; Thomas Straub of Lewistown, Timothy Straub of Watsontown, one granddaughter; Brandi Straub, two brothers; David S. Sheesley of Florence, SC, Paul A. Sheesley of Sunbury.
Services will be conducted privately.
