Frances M. Brooks, 85, of Lewisburg passed away at 12:55 am on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Milton Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born on June 20, 1931 in, Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William and Catharine (McLaughlin) McHugh. She married the Charles R. Brooks, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2008.
Frances worked at Haverford Nursing and Rehabilitation center as a physical therapy aide, but was also a wonderful homemaker.
She loved gardening and reading with her husband.
She was a member of St. Pius X, Broomall for over 50 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Katherine M. Brooks and Robert Wizon of Lewisburg; one brother and daughter-in-law, William and Sherry Brooks of Havertown, PA; former daughter-in-law, Erika Brooks of Media; five grandchildren, Courtney and Kevin Garrity, Emily Brooks, Catelyn and Andrew Troxell, Grace Brooks, Kristen Wizon; two great grandchildren, Kahlan, Holden; one sister-in-law, Josephine McHugh of Havertown; two brothers-in-law, James Kelly of Mullica Hills, NJ, Joseph Brooks, Sun City, AZ; and best friend, Rita Marsicano of Havertown.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, William McHugh, James McHugh, Tommy McHugh, one sister, Catherine Kelly and a grandson, Jamie Brooks.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Thursday at the St. Pius X, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, with Father John Weber, as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
