Born on March 22, 1964 in Lewisburg, he was the son of Ruth E. (Brosius) Wirth of Mifflinburg and the late Herbert W. Wirth Sr.
Herbert was 1982 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
On August 6, 1986, Herbert joined the United States Navy. During his service, he was awarded the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He was honorably discharge on February 16, 1991.
Herbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling; however, he mostly loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are one daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Justin Showers of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren, Summer, Sarah, Madison, Mason Showers; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Glenn A. and Karen Wirth of Hughesville; Robert W. Wirth of Cowan; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Wanda K. Strickland and her partner Teresa Weiand of Mifflinburg; Donna J. Middleton of Milton; Linda L. and Jason Schmidt Winnipeg, Canada; and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Middleton.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 6 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where Herb’s memorial service will be held at 7pm, with his cousin Janet Brosius, officiating.
