Jacquita D. Peachey

April 28, 1943 — July 30, 2015

Jacquita D. “Jacquie” Peachey, 72, of Mifflinburg went to be with her Lord at 4:56 PM on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, surrounded by family following a brief illness.

She was born on April 28, 1943 in Lewis Twp., Union Co., the daughter of the late Dale A. Englehart and Helen Augusta (Rudy) Englehart.  On January 26, 1963, at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren she married Kenneth W. Peachey.  Her death breaks a martial union of 52 years.

Jacquie graduated from Mifflinburg High School class of1961.

Jacquie was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She retired in 2005 from Mifflinburg Area School District, working as a kindergarten teacher’s aide for 18 years.

She was a member of Hillside Bible Church, where she played piano for Sunday school for over 30 years.

Jacquie enjoyed photography, crocheting, and reading.  She also enjoyed attending to her property and spending time with her family.

Surviving are four children and spouses, Gregg Peachey and his wife Brenda of Mifflinburg, Tracy Heimbach and her husband Mervin of Selinsgrove, Kelly Peachey of Mifflinburg and Kerry Nornhold and her husband Kyle of Mifflinburg; and nine grandchildren and spouses, Franklin and Sarah Peachey, Kayla Peachey, Alissa and Brandon Aungst, Kaitlin Heimbach and  fiancé Logan Shaw, Kelsey Heimbach, Aleigha Heimbach, Carynn Dauberman, Kiersten Dauberman, Sydney Nornhold, 3 great grandchildren,  Antonia Peachey, Natalie Peachey, Adalee Getgen, and her special schnauzer, Kassie.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 4 to 6 PM on Monday at Hillside Bible Church, 1650 Centennial Rd, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 6, with the Rev. Samuel Knisely and Rev. Leslie Conklin, officiating.

Interment will be in the Hillside Bible Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jacquie`s memory may be sent to Hillside Bible Church, 1650 Centennial Rd, Mifflinburg.
