JoAnn Arlene Walter, 80, of 449 Cold Run Road, Millmont entered into rest at 10:25 AM on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Evangelical Community Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 20, 1934 in Kittanning, Pa, a daughter of the late Ruby (Stouffer) and step-father, Emery McKee and the late William Semmens. On October 18, 1975, in Riverdale, MD she married Marvin K. Walter, Sr. who passed away on February 17, 2014.
JoAnn was a 1951 graduate of Ford City High School, Ford City, PA.
She worked as an executive secretary for British Overseas Airline Corporation in Washington, DC and also for Excavation Construction of Bladensburg, MD.
Surviving are one son, J. Dirk and Carol A. Fye of Davidsonville, MD, four stepchildren and spouses, Marvin K. and Joyce Walter of Hartleton, Dennis L. and Deborah M. Walter of Adamstown, MD, Sharon L. and William Reichard of Mifflinburg, Dawn E. Walter of Penns Creek, 3 grandchildren, Jessica Fye, Katie Fye, Stevi Fye, one great granddaughter, Emereigh Fye, 7 step grandchildren and spouses, Doug and wife Tonya Walter, Danielle and husband Jason Dressler, Craig and wife Tina Reichard, Nicole Reichard, Kimberly and husband Ronald Koontz, William L. Stouffer, Tabitha Walter, 12 step-great grandchildren, Ty Walter, Cole Walter, Luke Walter, Cade Dressler, Troy Dressler, Craig (CJ) Reichard, Jr, Terri Reichard, Brennon Stouffer, Brandi Koontz, Adam Koontz, Joshua Stouffer, Jacob Stouffer, one sister, Marilyn McKee of Burke, VA, one brother, James McKee of Ford City, PA.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where a memorial service will be held at 11 , with the Rev. Richard L. DeVett, officiating.
