John Daniel Bingaman
, Sr., 76, of 433 Main Street, New Columbia entered into rest at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his residence surrounded by family.
He was born on August 10, 1936 in Laurel Park, the son of the late Ammon and Violet (Zimmerman) Bingaman. On June 17, 1961, in Montandon he married the former Pauline Gloria Swartz, who survives.
John graduated from Mifflinburg High School Class of 1954.
John enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954, where he served honorably in numerous positions until his retirement in 1975.
He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.
Surviving are one son, John Daniel Bingaman, Jr and wife Becky of Mifflinburg, two daughters, Leilani Falck and husband Christopher of Mifflinburg, Wendy Daubert and husband Jeff of New York, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two sisters, Lavone Delsite and husband Robert of Laurelton, Bonnie Fultz of Burnham, one sister-in-law, Shirley Bingaman of Milton.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Marlin Bingaman and a grandson Austin James Robenolt.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the New Hope Bible Church, 310 Raven Lane, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be held at 11 with The Rev. Richard M. VonNeida , officiating. Following the service will be a time of fellowship and light refreshments.
