John A. (Jack) Rudy, 82, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by family.
He was born on April 5, 1943, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Walter Gale and Beatrice Ruth (Hamler) Rudy. On July 4, 1960, in Lewisburg, he married the former Sandra L. Smith, who survives. Together, they shared many wonderful years of memories.
Jack was a 1961 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He worked as a mason with the Local Union, retiring in 2008 after many years of dedicated service.
Jack was a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsman Club and a founding member of the Mifflinburg Wrestling Club and remained an enthusiastic supporter of high school sports throughout his life. He loved hunting, fishing, coaching, and attending dirt track races at Selinsgrove Speedway.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Sandra, are three children: Wanda and husband Scott, Wade and wife Christine, and Kurt and wife Noel; five grandchildren: Brandon and wife Heather, Brindy and husband Kyle, Carlee and husband Jed, Alli and husband Danny, and Shelby; seven great-grandchildren: Jayden, Jack and Luna, Avery, Gracie, twin boys, Grady and Wade; one brother, Lanny Rudy; and one sister, Sharon Eddinger.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne Clemens.
The family extends a special thank-you to WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospice, especially Melissa and Leslie, for their kindness and compassionate care.
At Jack’s request, there will be no public services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to the Mifflinburg Wrestling Club.
