Joseph John DiAscro III, 50, of Milton passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, April 9, 2024, with his beloved dog Cookie by his side.
Joe was born May 28, 1973 in Sunbury, PA to the late Joseph J. DiAscro, Jr and the late Sharnon Dooner Weir.
He graduated from Mifflinburg High School, Class of 1991. He later graduated from McCann School with a degree in Criminal Justice.
He worked various jobs across the Susquehanna Valley, the last being at Silver Moon Restaurant in Lewisburg.
Joe never met a stranger, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was known for his sense of humor, his love of animals and of his family.
He is survived by his loving family: mother Cynthia DiAscro, Mifflinburg; close friend Trish Mathias, Milton; friend and caregiver Susanne Fenstermacher, Muncy; brothers Dominick (Melissa) of Ruthers Glen, VA and David (David Galyon) of Mifflinburg; sister Angela (Dan Hofmann) of Marlborough, MA; nephew and niece Dakota and Avery DiAscro of Ruthers Glen, VA, and a host of relatives in Philadelphia.
Per Joe's wishes, there will be no services. The family would like to thank all the staff at Evangelical and Geisinger Hospitals, along with Drs. O'Brien and Alite and the entire GMC Cancer Center Staff for all their support and care for Joe during his illness.
