Josephine Stauffer, 90, of Port Trevorton, passed away very peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in the comfort of her own home.

Josephine was born December 20, 1935, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Allen and Nancy (Brubaker) Stauffer. She was the second child in a family of ten siblings. Josephine is survived by her companion, soulmate, and husband, Calvin Stauffer, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage.

She was a faithful member of the Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Calvin, are seven children: Sandra, wife of Elmer Weaver of Leola, PA; Debra, wife of Wilmer Weaver of Ephrata, PA; Trudy, wife of Ivan Brubacker of Mount Pleasant Mills, PA; Tony, husband of Ruth Anne of Port Trevorton, PA; Wanda, wife of Warren Weaver of Bainbridge, OH; Tom, husband of Lois Brubaker of Port Trevorton, PA; and Gary, husband of Rosene Martin of Mount Pleasant Mills, PA. She is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Ellen Stauffer, wife of the late Levi Sensenig, brother, Earl Stauffer, husband of the late Kathryn Wenger, sister Beatrice, wife of Stanley Zimmerman; Ida Mae, wife of Noah Martin; Lester, husband of Elsie Sensenig; Nancy, wife of John Auker; and Wayne, husband of Nancy Auker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Lloyd, married to Dixie Cammauf; Chester, married to Lucille Holderman; and Ray.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing at the home of Earl Stauffer, 5324 Hoffer Road, Port Trevorton, PA 17864, on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

Family prayer services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the home of Earl Stauffer, followed by services at 9:00 a.m. at Riverview Old Order Mennonite Church, 77 Oriental Road, Liverpool, PA.
