Katie H. Martin

Katie H. Martin, 91, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at her home.

Born on August 1, 1934, in New Holland, PA, she was the daughter of the late David Z. and Lizzie (Horning) Burkholder. She was the wife of the late Rufus N. Martin, who passed away on October 5, 2025.

She was a member of Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Katie is survived by thirteen children: Emma and husband Eli Reiff; Ivan and wife Lena Martin; Rufus and wife Vera Martin; Edna Klinepeter; Lizzie and husband Alvin Sensenig; Lydia and husband John Reiff; Ammon and wife Erma Martin; Daniel and wife Arlene Martin; Katie and husband Floyd Martin; Aaron and wife Marietta Martin; John and wife Miriam Martin; Levi and wife Marlene Martin; James and wife Andrea Martin; along with 77 grandchildren, 185 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and former daughter-in-law, Pauline Martin.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, David B. Martin; three grandsons, Jonah Martin, Eric Martin, and Stephen Reiff; five brothers, Mose husband of late Martha Burkholder, Weaver Burkholder, Daniel Burkholder, Levi husband of late Fannie Burkholder, David husband of late Bertha Burkholder; 7 sisters, Annie wife of late Samuel B Martin, Maria wife of late Elam Reiff, Ida wife of late Roy Shirk, Lydia wife of late Harvey Leinbach, and Eva wife of late Aaron N. Zimmerman.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing at 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 457 Martin Drive, Mifflinburg. The family service will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Further services will be held at the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church beginning at 9:30 a.m., with Bishop Lloyd R. Zimmerman officiating.

Interment will be in the adjoining Church Cemetery.
