Kenneth L Hoey

Kenneth L. Hoey, 73, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on August 24, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center.

He was born on November 21, 1951, in Milton, a son of the late Harold “Jack” Hoey and Ruth Irene (Miller) Hoey.

Ken was a 1970 graduate of Milton High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. His service began on April 9, 1971, in Harrisburg, PA, and concluded honorably on June 28, 1974, at Holloman Air Force Base, NM.

Ken retired as a UNICOR Foreman for USP Lewisburg.

He enjoyed gardening and absolutely adored his grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters: Anita Stanko and partner Tom of Pittsburgh; Celena Hoey of Baltimore, MD; and Michele Hoey of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Ethan, Jack, Erin, and Dorothy; as well as siblings Mary Hall, Walter “Nood” Hoey (Shelly), and Jackie Hoey; one brother-in-law, Wayne Rovenolt, along with nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his good friends: John Klopf, Brenda Santos, and Kelly Spengler.

He was preceded in death by siblings Harold “Sonny” Hoey, Jr., Marion “Sis” Rovenolt, William “Bo” Hoey; and brother-in-law, Tom Hall.

Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church, 814 St. Louis St., Lewisburg.

Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kenneth’s memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
