Margaret Kathryn (Dotterer) Seebold

July 23, 1914 — November 14, 2012

Margaret Kathryn (Dotterer) Seebold, 98, a resident of Rhodesmere at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village for the past year and a half, formerly of Route 304, Mifflinburg entered into rest at 1:50 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village.

She was born on July 23, 1914 in Buffalo Township, Union County, the daughter of the late William Nevin and Maude Mae (Snyder) Dotterer. On June 15, 1936, she married Clarence Christopher Seebold, who passed away on March 2, 1983.

Margaret graduated from Mifflinburg High School Class of 1931.

She was member Emmanuel United Church of Christ, New Berlin.

Margaret was a homemaker and assisted her husband in operating Crystal Spring Farm off of Route 304 in Mifflinburg, where she had resided for 74 years.

Margaret was a member of the New Berlin Quilters Group, New Berlin Homemakers Association, and the Union County Historical Society.

Margaret enjoyed her cats, farm work, sewing, gardening, tending her flower gardens, doll collecting and, making clothes for her dolls. She had a passion for history and along with her husband; co authored a genealogy book titled, Descendants of Christopher Seebold I, son of Lenhart Zebolt 1750 to 1975.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-law, Nancy S. Snook of Mifflinburg, Ruth-Alice S. and Gary W. Spangler of New Berlin, three grandchildren and spouses, John C. and Kim E. Snook of Mifflinburg, David A. and Stacey L. Snook of Mifflinburg, Karen and Jimmy Spangler-Pereira of Holly Springs, NC, five great grandchildren, Lee A. Mathison, Christopher G. Snook, Andrew J. Snook, Nevin l. Spangler-Pereira, Masin, W. Spangler-Pereira.

She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Glenn E. Snook.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday and at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 326 Market Street, New Berlin, where the funeral will be conducted at 2, with the Rev. Dawn Marie Meier, officiating.

Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
