Merle Elwood Katherman, 77, of Mifflinburg entered into rest on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his residence .
Born on July 8, 1943 in Lewisburg, a the son of the late Charles William Katherman and Margaret Katherman. On October 04, 1963, he married the former Sylvia Ann Bowes, who survives.
He proudly served his county in Army's 82nd Airborne Division.
Merle worked as a painter for Shipper Car Line, Milton.
He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years are three children, Paula Brosius of Elysburg, Pam Kline of Duncansville, PA, Merle Katherman, II of Mifflinburg, 5 grandchildren, Derrick Katherman, Brandon Katherman, Ashley Kline, Haley Kline, Cadence Kline, and six siblings, Walter Katherman, William Katherman, Gretna Kerlin, Robert Katherman, Mary Katherman, Don Katherman.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Benjamin Katherman, James Katherman, John Katherman.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
