Mervin E. Kline, 82, of MIfflinburg entered into rest on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Evangelical Community Hospital.

Born on April 18, 1941 in Aaronsburg, PA, a son of the late Ralph Kline, Sr and Mae (Guiser) Kline. On September 17, 1965, at the Mifflinburg Church of Nazarene he married the former Patsy A. (Smith) Kline, who survives.

He graduated from Penns Valley High School. Mervin worked at Ritz-Craft Corp of Mifflinburg, Farmers Exchange, Poloron Homes, retiring from CBS Modular Homes in 2006.

 In his earlier years he loved to hunt, fish, going to sprint and late model races in Selinsgrove and Port Royal, loved to read (especially the bible) and learning about local history.

Surviving are two sons, Terry L. Kline of Mifflinburg and Scott A. Kline and his companion Lisa Hess of Mifflinburg, one daughter, Lori (David) Hopta of South Carolina, 2 grandsons, Tyler of Shamokin and Ryan (Kamee) of Catawissa, 2 great-grandsons Jaxon and Grayson Hopta, three sisters, Katherine Mobley of Woodward, Bernice Capperella of Bellefonte and Bonnie Mitchell of Gettysburg, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Kline of Boalsburg, Pa. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and their spouses, Betty (Ray) Hess, Doris (Paul) McWilliams, Evelyn (Paul) Vonada, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Russell Kline, and Ralph (Polly) Kline, and two brothers-in-laws, James Mobley and Frank Capperella.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 am on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Adamo Funeral Home, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11 with Rev. William Heckman officiating.

 Interment will be in Old Cedar Cemetery, Swengel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mervin's memory may be sent to the Union County Library, 255 Reitz Boulevard, Lewisburg, PA 17837 or Evangelical Hospital, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
