Rhoda A Weaver

Rhoda Althea "Al" Weaver, 101, of 180 East Market Street, Mifflinburg, passed away at 2:19 p.m. on September 8, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on September 6, 1924, in Hartley Township, Union County, a daughter of the late Carbon A. and Rhoda Alice (Keister) Walter. On December 24, 1945, she married John Howard Weaver, and together they shared 57 ½ years of marriage until his passing in 2003.

Al graduated in the Class of 1941 from Mifflinburg High School.

She first worked at the Mifflinburg Throwing Silk Mill, and later devoted 30 years of service to Evangelical Community Hospital. She also worked for a short time at Rhodesmere in Lewisburg as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert W. and Faylene Weaver of Macon, GA, and Dennis A. and Linda Weaver of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Stover.

At Al’s request, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Mifflinburg Cemetery.
