Richard A. Boyer, 82, of 121 Zimmie Lane, Millmont, entered into rest on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Rolling Hills Manor.

Born on January 20, 1938 in Watsontown, a son the late Russell and Pauline (Mausteller) Boyer. On April 12, 1957, he married the former Joanne M.Reamer, who survives. Together, they shared over 62 years of memories.

Dick was a graduate of Lewisburg High School class of 1955.

Following high school he enlisted in the Pennsylvania National Guard serving from 1955 to 1963.

Dick was of the United Methodist faith.

He was the owner/operator of the former Buffalo Valley Carpet Center , where he earned his nickname "Buffalo Dick". He later started selling cars at Diehl's Chevrolet for 17 years as well as at other local dealerships. Earlier in life, he worked at Jasper Wood Products, and Moore Business Forms.

He was a life member of Buffalo Valley Sportsman's Association, a member of Union Co. Sportsman's Club, and a member of the Moose Lodge.

Dick was a avid turkey and deer hunter, who enjoyed hunting and fishing trips to New York and Canada. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, woodworking, and doing handyman projects. He also like to spend time with family and friends at his cabin "Tinkers Place" along White Deer Creek.,

Surviving in addition to his wife, Joanne, are one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Mark Holman of Mifflinburg, one son, Rick Boyer of Weikert, three grandchildren, Jeremy Hoffmaster, Jina Linn (Scott), Sam Holman, three great grandchildren, Kyley Hoffmaster, Bryar Hoffmaster, Landon Linn, and one brother and sister-in-law, David and Joanne Boyer of Middleburg.

He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Boyer, and a grandson, Chad Hoffmaster.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 1 to 2 pm on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Adamo's, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 2 pm with The Rev. Shirley Cornell, officiating.

Interment will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dick's memory may be sent to Buffalo Valley Sportsman's Association, P.O. Box 8, Mifflinburg PA 17844.
