Richard Alan Bryant

Richard Alan Bryant, 60, of Hillsboro, entered into rest unexpectedly on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in New Columbia, PA, while traveling.

Born on June 25, 1966, in Chillicothe, Ohio, he was the son of Dick Bryant and Thelma (Perrsinger) Bryant. On September 26, 1992, he married the former Monya Neer, who survives. Together they shared many years of cherished memories.

Richard was a 1984 graduate of Waynesville, Ohio High School, where he was a standout football player. He spent much of his career as a pipeline construction worker and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. Following his retirement, he purchased what he affectionately called his "city farm," where he enjoyed spending his time and later drove for members of the local Amish community.

Richard loved working with his hands and could often be found tinkering on cars and tackling mechanical projects. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time on his boat, and taking pride in caring for his beloved "city farm." Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and his faithful dogs.

In addition to his parents, Dick and Thelma, and his loving wife, Monya, he is survived by his stepchildren, Aaron Lamb and Mandy Penwell; his cherished granddaughter, Emma Grace Penwell; two brothers, Andy Bryant and Dave Bryant; and his two beloved dogs, Ricky Ricardo and Freddy Murtz.

Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Bryant.
