Robert A. Zeigler

Robert (Bob) A. Zeigler, 74, of Mount Pleasant Mills, passed away Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 2, 1952, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Donald and Meriam (Hocker) Zeigler.

He is survived by his two children, Jeremy Zeigler and wife Amy (Dressler) Zeigler of Middleburg; and Valorie Pack and husband Brandon Pack of Duncannon; six grandchildren, Sierra, Canyon (and wife, Jade), and Autumn Zeigler; Katie Gessner (and husband, Alex), Ryan, and Andrew (and wife, Kayla) Pack; and one great-grandson, Brooks Nolan Zeigler.

He is also survived by sisters Donna Marandola of Bellefonte, Nancy Stoops of Selinsgrove, and one brother, Ronald Zeigler (and wife Janet) of Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Mary Wilhide of Port Trevorton, Rosalee Massie (and husband John) of Mattawana, and Kathy Charles (and husband Tom) of Selinsgrove.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda Kay Zeigler; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Gladys Gaugler; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Patty Gaugler; and brother-in-law, Dennis Wilhide.

Bob graduated from John Harris High School, Harrisburg, in 1971.

Bob specialized in sales throughout his career, which proved beneficial when, later in life, he and his wife, Linda, opened Zeigler's Natural Health and Wellness Store in Mount Pleasant Mills. Bob loved interacting with his customers and providing products and services to improve their health. He was also a trusted, dependable driver for many community members who needed transportation.

Bob was a member of the United Church of God in Mifflintown, where he served as a deacon for many years.

Bob thrived on connection- finding joy in his family, community, and church. Bob lived a life that showed his love for God and a desire to do good to all. He loved cheering on his favorite sports teams and could often be found “stealing” the mic when a karaoke machine was nearby.

A private graveside service is being planned and will be held in Susquehanna Mennonite Church Cemetery, Port Trevorton at a later date.
