Roland W. Fritz, Jr, 73, of 636 Front Street, New Berlin passed away at 6:45 pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on September 20, 1940 in Mifflinburg, a son of the late Roland Warren and Frances Gertrude (Bibby) Fritz. On July 9, 1959, in Mifflinburg he married the former Nancy J. Snyder, who passed away on October 30, 2012. Together, they shared 53 years of memories.
Roland worked at Mifflinburg High School as a custodian and later at American Home Foods, Milton until his retirement in 2004.
In his spare time he repaired lawn mowers and Cub Cadet Tractors.
Surviving is one son Jeffery Fritz of New Berlin, and a sister-in-law, Arlene Snyder of Watsontown.
He was preceded in death by a son Barry Fritz on November 16, 2005, and two brothers Frank and Robert Fritz.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 2 to 3 PM on Sunday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12 East Market Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 3, with the Rev. Wayne S. Krell, officiating.
Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
