Ronald Eugene Gemberling Sr., 84, of Lewisburg, entered into rest on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital.
Born on July 28, 1941, in Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Richard Edward and Irene Mae (Reitenbach) Gemberling. On January 1, 1962, he married Joan Darlene Long, who survives. Together, they shared 64 years of marriage.
Ron served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a millwright shop foreman at the Federal Prison in Lewisburg.
He attended Hillside Bible Church in Mifflinburg. Ronald loved hunting and fishing, traveling to Maine, fishing from the boat, and spending time at the hunting cabin.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Joan, are two sons, Ronald Gemberling Jr. and his wife, Julie, of Leonardtown, Maryland, and Brian K. Gemberling and his wife, Karen, of Mifflinburg; seven grandchildren; Cassie, Jerry and Tricia Lloyd, Adrienne Hobbins, Nick Gemberling, Nathan, Aron Gemberling, seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward Gemberling and his wife, Carol, of Ocean Isle, North Carolina, and Gary Gemberling and his wife, Janet, of Mazeppa.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Rose Lloyd.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Hillside Bible Church in Mifflinburg, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., with Pastor Robert Strobel officiating.
Interment will be in Mazeppa Cemetery, with full military honors accorded by veterans from the Mifflinburg American Legion and the Mifflinburg Veterans of Foreign Wars.
