Ronald E. Whited

January 29, 1931 — October 17, 2025

Ronald E. Whited, 94, of Milton and for the past three years at Celebration Villa, Lewisburg, entered into rest on October 17, 2025, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital.

He was born on January 29, 1931, in Barnsboro, PA, a son of the late Clyde J. and Elizabeth Whited. On February 23, 1954, he married the former Eva Ruth Nelson, who preceded him in death. Together, they shared 60 years of loving memories.

Ronald was a 1949 graduate of Barnesboro High School.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954 and was honorably discharged.

Throughout his life, Ronald worked in various factory positions before moving back to Pennsylvania in 1969, where he began a long career as a truck driver with Interstate Motor Freight in White Deer and later with ABF Freight in Carlisle, PA.

For the past three years, Ronald was a resident of Celebration Villa in Lewisburg.

He attended Faith Chapel United Methodist Church and was a member of the 40/8 Club.

Ronald enjoyed woodworking and volunteered at Evangelical Community Hospital for four years, from 2016 to 2019. He especially valued time spent with his family and friends.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Robert Troutman of New Columbia; grandchildren Alicia Showers, Ronald Kline, Matthew Kline, Robert Troutman III, and Samantha Troutman; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Carpenter and Eileen Kraynak; and three brothers, Robert Whited, Wayne Whited, and Dale E. Whited.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Cherry Tree United Methodist Church, 230 South Main Street, Cherry Tree, PA.

Interment will be conducted privately in the Citizens Cemetery, Cherry Tree.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ronald’s memory may be made to St.Judes Childrens Hospital.
