Rose Ann Kline

March 4, 1926 — June 26, 2014

Rose Ann Kline, 88, of New Berlin entered into rest at 10:45 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at RiverWoods, where she had been a resident for the past year.

She was born on March 4, 1926 in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Nestico) Procopio.  On April 5, 1947, she married Donald Franklin Kline, who preceded her in death on April 19, 2007.

Rose retired as a clerk from the PennDot Maintenance Office, Lewisburg.

Rose was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, New Berlin, and New Berlin Legion Woman’s Auxiliary.  She also served on the Union County Democrat Committee where she held the position of Chair and received the lifetime achievement award.  In 2004 she was entered into the Pennsylvania Voter Hall of Fame.

Rose enjoyed gardening, cooking, singing, traveling and taking care of people.  She will be remembered as a great wife, mother, and friend.

Surviving are two daughters, Stephanie Ann Rossello of West Chester, PA, Kelley Marie Kline of St. Petersburg, FL, one son, Donald Clarence Kline of New Berlin, PA one grandson, Christopher and Erin Rossello, one great granddaughter, Amanda Rossello all of Philadelphia, Pa, one brother, Frank "Jimmy" Procopio of Shamokin, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Emma Jane and George Hurst of Fort Worth, TX.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Father Charles Procopio, Joseph Procopio, Felix "Sammy" Procopio, one sister-in-law, Josephine Procopio, two brothers-in-law and one sister-law, Bill Kline and Clarence and Anna Mae Miller.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing 10 to 11 am on Thursday at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 326 Market Street, New Berlin, where the funeral will be held at 11, with the Rev. Dawn Marie Meier, officiating.

Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rose`s memory may be sent to RiverWoods Benevolent Fund, Albright Care Services, 90 Maplewood Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
