Steven E. Snyder, 55, of Mifflinburg passed away at 6:53 AM on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.

He was born on August 24, 1958 in Lewisburg, a son of Floyd and Alice Ann (Swanger) Snyder. On November 26, 1983, he was united in marriage at the sound of Gospel Church, Selinsgrove to the former Penny L. Spickler, who survives.

Steven worked at RiverWoods for 33 years’ in heavy duty housekeeping and the dietary department. He also operated S&P Cleaners with his wife. Earlier in life he worked at Schultz Manufacturing, Milton and in the Dietary Department at Bucknell.

He enjoyed hunting, camping at Grey Squirrel Campground, being outdoors, visiting his Uncle Ruben’s cabin and playing poker. He loved spending time with his son Shawn.

In addition to his wife of 30 years, he is survived by a son, Shawn D. Snyder of Mifflinburg, his mother, Alice Snyder of West Milton and companion Norman Strausbaugh of Delaware, two brothers, Terry Snyder and companion Cindy Bilger of New Columbia, Jeff and Tina Snyder of New Columbia, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kathy and Allen Loss of West Milton, Karen Hauck of West Milton, former brother-in-law Jerry Hauck of White Deer, mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Greta and Nevin Spangler of Mifflinburg, one sister-in-law, Carol and husband Kim Yarger of Spring City, TN, two brothers-in-law, Daniel and wife Marcella Spickler of Paxtonville, Keith Spickler and companion Mary Koch of Montandon and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, David D. Spickler, two sisters-in-laws, Linda Spickler, Jane Spickler.

Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be held at 11 with The Rev. Richard L. DeVett and The Rev. Dr. Leah D. Schade, officiating.
