Anna Hoover Horning, 70, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 8:00 am on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family.

Born on July 28, 1950 in West Earl Twp, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Amos and Alice N. (Hoover) Hoover. On November 25, 1971, in Mifflinburg she married Phares Z. Horning, who survives.  They would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on the 25th of this month.

Anna was a homemaker.

She was a member of Scenic Ridge Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference in Mifflinburg.

Surviving are 8 daughters and 6 sons, Nora and Reuben Zimmerman of Millmont, Amos H. and Almeta Jane Horning of Middleburg, Harold H. and Marian Horning of Millmont, Elaine H. and Menno Zimmerman of Millmont, Maria H. and Elam Brubaker of Spencer, TN, Elton H. and Delores Horning of Middleburg, Louise H. and Warren Hoover of Millmont, Miriam H. and Larry Nolt of Middleburg, Anna Mary H. and Thomas Martin of Mifflinburg, Alvin H. and Doris Horning of Mifflinburg, Lois H. and Dana Weaver of Mifflinburg, Mahlon H. and Emma Horning of Winfield, Lydiann H. Horning of Mifflinburg, Nathan H. and Rosene Horning of Middleburg, 97 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, 13 brothers and sisters, Ada H. and Jonathan Martin, Joseph and Margaret Hoover, Verna H. and Carl Duke, John H. and Verna Hoover, Alice H. and Wesley King, Edna H. Weaver, Amos and Lizzie Hoover, Minnie and Steven Peachey, Etta and Joseph Zimmerman, Lucy and Edward Martin, Raymond and Rachel Hoover, Louella and Edward Zimmerman, Lewis and Brenda Hoover, brother-in-law, Eli Martin, and sister-in-law, Mary Hoover.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mary Horning and Timothy Hoover, one brother, Allen H. Hoover, one sister, Nora Martin and a brother-in-law, Raymond N. Weaver.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Elton H. and Delores Horning, 17867 Route 104, Middleburg, where the funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020. Further services will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Scenic Ridge Old Order Mennonite Church, Beaver Road,Mifflinburg, officiating will be Bishop Irvin Zimmerman.

Interment will be in Scenic Ridge Old Order Mennonite Church Cemetery, Mifflinburg.

The family asks to kindly omit flowers.
